Make Today Count
Whether you work in corporate america, or as an entrepreneur, it is important to make today count. We all have goals and aspirations, but very few of us are willing to take the steps to achieve those goals and aspirations. If you ask people why they get off track from their goals, distraction is one of the top responses you’ll receive. Unfortunately, not making today count will lead to broken dreams, unachieved goals and an unfulfilled life.
Don’t be the person who wakes up 30 years from now wondering ‘what if’ in reference to your life. Take time to make today count. Start by making a list of tasks you want to accomplish that will help you achieve your goals. That means you need to break down your daily, weekly, monthly or yearly goals down into very actionable steps.
For entrepreneurs, you generally want to expand your business and increase your sales. Think about how you can get your products or services in front of people, along with the conversion rate it will take you to reach your goals. Make today count!
For employees, you make have a goal of getting a raise or promotion. Take a look at the responsibilities you currently have on your plate, devise a plan to overachieve in completing your responsibilities, and look for ways to add value to your job. Make today count!
Take time to reflect on what you want your life to look like. Take time to define what success looks like to you. Make today count!
Successful people don’t waste their time worrying about what others are doing; they are too busy handling their own business.
Successful people don’t spend time indulging in meaningless activities, they are too busy reading and perfecting their craft.
Successful people don’t allow time to sidetrack them; they are practitioners at leveraging time to their benefit.
Successful people don’t procrastinate; they put action to their thoughts. Don’t get so caught-up on tomorrow that you forget to capitalize on today! Make today count.
